SWIM LESSON POLICIES

Swim School 2000x1335 1

OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES ARE IN PLACE TO KEEP OUR FACILITY CLEAN AND SAFE. PLEASE REVIEW OUR POLICIES BEFORE REGISTERING FOR SWIM LESSONS.

POOL CLOSING POLICY

In the event of the pool closing for unseen circumstances, the decision to cancel or reschedule the lesson for that day will be determined by the Aquatics Manager. We will do our best to make up lessons in a reasonable amount of time. You will be contacted by our facility for any cancellations.

Please note that we do not offer makeup lessons if a participant misses a class. Makeup lessons will only be provided if a class is canceled by the facility due to unforeseen circumstances. If you are going to miss a class, please give us 24 hours’ notice, stop by or call the facility (423) 388-6573.

WHEN ARRIVING FOR LESSONS

Each time you come to the Aquatic Center for a swim lesson please sign in at the front desk.

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of your lesson and meet the instructor at the far set of bleachers below the scoreboard. Do not enter the water until the lesson begins. Instructors are only required to wait 15 minutes for your arrival before they leave. If they have waited 15 minutes and you are still not there, no makeup lesson will be provided.

Please ensure your child has used the restroom before their lesson to minimize disruptions.

Children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper under their swimsuit. If you do not own a swim diaper, you may purchase one at our front desk.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES DURING LESSON

Please be available for your child at the beginning and end of the lesson. Parents/guardians of all children must always be available to escort them to the bathroom or in case of emergency. If your child is enrolled in a day camp or program, the counselor will take on this responsibility.

Please remember that the fee paid is for classes only. This does not include free swim time for the student or his/her family before, during or after lessons. Please refer to the open swim times advertised in the information brochure. Regular admission fees or memberships may apply.

We invite parents/guardians to observe classes from the pool deck, but please refrain from communicating with students or instructors during classes. If you need to speak with the instructor, please do so before or after class.

MOVING LEVELS

Moving a child based on their skills to a more appropriate level is encouraged. We would rather they thrive at the right level than regress. If you have questions about how your child is doing or the placement, we urge you to speak with their direct instructor who works with them daily. If a move is what’s needed, we will look at availability for the level they need.

If you have any questions about our swim lessons, please feel free to email sbrackins@sportsfacilities.com Thank you for participating in our swimming lessons!
